Microsoft introducing Bing tabs |

Microsoft released Bing last year and it hoped that the users would like to click on the hosting of additional options presented in column on the left side of Bing results. There are a few users, who made click on the additional options and the lower click rate means that the pages in which Microsoft invested in-like topic page and articles, custom data fields, were being overlooked by many users. The main aim is to getting special attention for the pages and Microsoft is testing its new look, which will add the series of tabs in the center of the Bing results page. This will identify the additional content types. A subtle amendment to Bing will move the options like video reference articles for the series of tabs in the center part of result page. The change is subtle and it could have significant impact on the way that users interact with each other, in comparison to the present options present on the results page of Bing. It is like choosing from a list of many options, which are expected to get a response. On Thursday, about 5% of US visitors will begin to see the tabbed appearance of the search engine. This is visible for the changes made by Microsoft makes the part of refreshing for Bing. The tabbed look concept is not new. It is one of the user interface ideas of Microsoft and is considered from a long time, but it was rejected when Bing was introduced within last year. Microsoft introduced some of the Bing designs earlier in this month. The company spent some time in testing all the matter of tabs and the navigation on left and right side navigation panes before making the decision on the left end navigation system, which was introduced last year. Bing is not scrapping the left navigation and keeping it for related searches, search history and other needs, which users want to get aware of. The changes made to Bing’s look will include the dominant labeling of official websites and other small changes. All updates of Microsoft are planned in a superficial way. The software maker is seeking for pilling of more kinds of structured data, which is offered for various offerings like recipes or weather and it is also apt for the changes, which make the engine more social. Bing search for New York Times will pull up the link to main page and will list the popular New York Times links being shared on Twitter. It is an initiative from Microsoft for continuation of getting share in search market. The company has gained the share of almost every month, since the debut of Bing search engine. The gain has not come against Google and on the expense of others in market, including Yahoo. Microsoft is soon going to be partner in search business.
