New cloud servers and solutions by Dell |

Dell made announcement on Wednesday about its launch for a range of products and services, inclusive of new cloud servers, at the company's "Solutions for the Virtual Era" product launch in San Francisco. The new solutions built on the 3 years of company offering cloud solutions through its Data Center Solutions group. The new integrated solution stacks, services and hardware will assist the customers to deploy and manage cloud environments. The new solutions include the tested and supported cloud solution stacking, which has a combination of hardware, software and related services. The company will primarily offer a cloud platform for its web applications, which will make the partnership with cloud software provider Joyent for offering a private platform as a service solution. PaaS offer comprises of the pre tested, pre assembled and supported hardware, software and other services, which are sold and supported by Dell. PaaS offering is designed with enterprise application developers in mind and it will offer them to resolve the web application development and deployment issues, like unpredictable traffic, under-provisioning and migration issues. Dell is also becoming partner with cloud ISVs through its Cloud Partner Program, which offers cloud solutions and blueprints for the cloud platforms of Dell. The company has made announcement for 3 initial partners for program, inclusive of web analytics firm Aster Data, Open source infrastructure service from Canonical and self service data warehousing vendor Greenplum. Dell said that it will continue the partnership with VMware and Microsoft and it will work with Microsoft on joint solutions on Windows Azure platform. Dell is offering a new line of hyperscale-inspired PowerEdge C servers. These are exclusively designed by Dell for HPC, social networking, data analytics, gaming and cloud computing providers. Del released a suite of cloud servers, which are designed for assisting the customers for preparing an implementing cloud computing solutions. Integrated solution services will include cloud readiness assessment services and cloud design, deployment management and maintenance issues.
