Google partially blocks its mobile services in China

3/29/2010 14:42:43 PM

Google’s mobile services in China are partially suspended from Monday, which is a primary change in the availability of the various services of the company, since the announcement has been made for taking the decision for moving Chinese search to Hong Kong domain.

Google also created a page for this issue and updated the new issue about the availability of the services in China. Some services, like YouTube and Blogger have been terminated completely, but now, mobile services have joined the list of partially blocked services.

This includes the mobile search, maps and other services, which are designed exclusively for mobile phones. It is still not clear that this partial blockage is related to the problems of Google in China, over past several months, but the timing is surely curious for the people to know about the reason.

Google gave confirmation about the partial blockage, but did not comment on its basic cause. The company is already dealing with the loss of a search deal of mobile on China Unicom’s network, but there was good news announced on Monday, when Android powered Samsung Galaxy i6500U launched on China Unicom's network.
